LOVI POE Gets ONLINE BDAY GREETING from TOM FELTON Ahead of New GMA7 Drama Premiere

The lockdowns triggered by the COVID-19 pandemic for most of last year did a number on various productions for film and television, abroad and at home. GMA7 for instance had started work on a romantic comedy drama series with the pun title of “Owe My Love,” to star Lovi Poe and Benjamin Alves. Unfortunately the pandemic halted production in March 2020, resuming only in November. Thankfully the locked-in tapings worked well enough that “Owe My Love” is finally cleared to premiere this Monday, mere days after Poe’s 32nd birthday. And what better birthday present can be had than a Hollywood actor greeting online, and a mention of your upcoming series?

Inquirer.net reports that last Thursday, February 11, on the occasion of her birthday, actress Lovi Poe was greeted by British actor Tom Felton, aka the malevolently spoiled wizard Draco Malfoy from the “Harry Potter” movie franchise. Not only did Felton deliver birthday greetings to Poe, on a video she shared via her Twitter page, but he even name-dropped “Owe My Love” in his little talk, wishing Lovi the best with her TV rom-com ahead of its premiere right this February 15. The greeting was originally done on the online app Cameo, and was arranged for by Poe’s boyfriend Monty Blencowe.

“To celebrate the fact that you…this new TV show, ‘Owe My Love,’ well congratu-bloody-lations!” crowed Felton on the video-feed with the Cameo label on the lower left. Cameo is a US-based video-sharing website launched in 2017, which allows fans to pay celebrities to record selfie-video greetings at variable prices. Poe’s boyfriend Monty is the brother of Martin Blencowe, one of Cameo’s co-founders. Remarking on Twitter about “Malfoy” greeting her, Lovi expressed absolute kilig as a proud “Harry Potter” fan and a self-identified member of House Slytherin, the Hogwarts student house that Felton’s character belongs to.

“Owe My Love” is one of the latest additions to GMA7’s “Telebabad” programing lineup. Lovi Poe and Benjamin Alves are joined in the principal cast by Ai-Ai delas Alas, Ruby Rodriguez, Jackie Lou Blanco, Nova Villa, Ryan Eigenmann , Leo Martinez, Brod Pete and Mahal.
