When an onscreen pairing on film
or television clicks, then it only makes sense for fans, the production posse,
and the stars involved to keep doing a bit more of that. Back in 2018, Dawn
Zulueta and Edu Manzano were recurring cast members on long-running police action
tele-serye “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.” Following the respective exits of their
characters from the narrative, the two have been involved in projects on both
sides of the major network divide. But it was not long before the speculation of
a new project bringing together Dawn and Edu will reach the ears of interested
fans.
And as Inquirer.net would have it, Dawn Zulueta does have something lined
up to do in the future with Edu Manzano, two veterans that have worked with
each other multiple times in the past. Even much earlier from their 2018
recurring roles in “Ang Probinsyano” they have already starred alongside the
late great King of Comedy Dolphy in the 1994 comedy film “Wanted: Perfect
Father.” Now, Zulueta has shared a photo of herself on Instagram with Manzano in
what is apparently a script reading, saying the two of them were “back to work”
on a new, exciting project “coming soon.”
But whatever that production will
be, it might not be “overnight” soon in coming. That is of course unless Dawn
was talking about the new upcoming action tele-serye “24/7” with Julia Montes.
Edu has already been confirmed to be part of that cast according to Dreamscape
Entertainment, which posted a photo on their own Instagram page showing the
confirmed cast including the veteran Manzano: names such as Melissa Ricks,
Meryll Soriano and Joem Bascon. It is possible that Zulueta too has been cast
for “24/7,” but if not then it will indeed be a new project as she already
said.
Before this bit of news, one major production that Dawn Zulueta has been a part of is last year’s “Family History,” a family drama from GMA Pictures directed by Michael V for his Mic Test Entertainment label. He is also the lead star with Dawn.
