ABS-CBN, DREAMSCAPE Show First IMAGES of Next PRIMETIME Tele-serye “BURADO”

With the runaway success of “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano,” ABS-CBN has been cooking up some major ideas to make into new action-oriented tele-seryes for the network. While some of their past soaps with action elements tended to be rooted in either the supernatural or outright fantasy, the prevailing concept now is that the intense action sequences can be grounded in modern-day reality and audiences will love it. The approach has been done outside of “Ang Probinsyano” with such shows like “The General’s Daughter,” and upcoming tele-seryes such as “24/7” and a new one starring yet another top Kapamilya ensemble cast, “Burado.”

ABS-CBN News reports that Dreamscape Entertainment has begun teasing promotional images of their next big action tele-serye “Burado,” which stars Paulo Avelino, Nadine Lustre, Julia Montes and more. Said image stills were posted on the Twitter page of Eric John Salut from Dreamscape, showcasing the main cast in some pretty dynamic set-pieces and poses. That also includes the special cast member, Thai actor Denkhun Ngamnet. The show is being directed by action-soap maven Emmanuel Palo from “The General’s Daughter” with Angel Locsin, and fellow tele-serye veteran Darnel Villaflor from the recently concluded series “Kadenang Ginto.”

As hinted by the presence of Denkhun, “Burado” will also be shot not only in the Philippines but overseas, with locations in Southeast Asia (Thailand, Cambodia) and India. It has not been determined what the characters portrayed by Avelino, Denkhun, Montes, Lustre and Zanjoe Marudo have to do with each other, though one Twitter pic seems to depict them as a team. This is accompanied by action posters of Nadine on a motorcycle, Zanjoe jumping a barricade, Denkhun in a boxing ring and Julia in an ambulance. Interestingly, that is rather similar to her other upcoming role in yet another soap, “24/7,” though in the case of “Burado” it is a Primetime Bida evening show.

Julia Montes is not the only one with a side-project among the cast of “Burado.” While hers is just another ABS-CBN TV series, Paulo Avelino is going to be in the big screen between work on this upcoming tele-serye. He has recently been cast in Star Cinema’s new “Darna” movie with star Jane de Leon.
