It seem very interesting that in
the various live-action adaptations of the Japanese manga “Hana Yori Dango” in Asia,
there is a good chance that at least one of the actors portraying the principal
characters the “F4” boys would be a singer and recording artist, if not more or
all of them (as in the case of Taiwan’s “Meteor Garden” from 2001). In the official
KBS2 adaptation “Boys Over Flowers,” all the boys have music careers too, like
Kim Hyun-joong who played Yoon Ji-Hu (Hanazawa Rui). He has been actively entertaining
after finishing his mandatory military service, and this weekend he is dropping
by in Manila for a quick concert.
ABS-CBN News has it that Kim Hyun-joong is coming to the
Philippines as part of his ongoing “Bio-Rhythm” world tour, which began last
year. And it will be doubly special for his fans that can be in Manila this
coming weekend because this concert is going to be the final stop of the tour,
the “Last Rhythm” as it were. That was how the South Korean superstar described
it on a video uploaded to his official Instagram page, which showcased all his
other concert appearances as part of the tour.
“Bio-Rhythm the Last Rhythm, in Manila, January 25, 2020,” wrote Kim on his Instagram video caption. The end part of the snippet spells out the rest of the details for his final “Bio-Rhythm” concert, as it will be held in the Skydome of SM North EDSA. The weekend timing of the event makes it feel like a unique way for fans of K-Pop in general and Kim (or “Boys Over Flowers”) in particular to enjoy the Chinese New Year, which coincides with the concert perfectly. Watching Kim perform his hit songs while ushering in the Chinese Year of the Metal Rat must be very exciting.
