Talk of Universal Pictures’
long-running automobile action movie series “Fast and Furious” and you are
bound to discuss the members of its ensemble cast. Of course, most focus will
likely go to the faces of the franchise, namely Vin Diesel and, in a fashion,
Dwayne Johnson. But there had been a time when Diesel was part of a face
tandem, back from the first “Fast” film when he was the antagonist to the
protagonist portrayed by Paul Walker, who died during production of “Fast 7” in
2013. A real-life car enthusiast, Walker had quite the fleet of personal high-performance
automobiles, the lot of which is soon to be auctioned off.
According to CNN, 21 collectible cars from the personal fleet of the late actor
Paul Walker is slated to go under the mallet of auction company
Barrett-Jackson. It will happen next year in January during the 49th
Annual Scottsdale Auction. These cars, known as the Paul Walker collection,
represent the length and breadth of knowledge the “Fast and Furious” star had
with the best representatives of automobile excellence, spanning five decades
of his choice of high-speed ride. One of these cars even got to figure in the
film franchise itself.
Barrett-Jackson chairman and CEO
Craig Jackson said in a press statement that the late Walker had an immense
impact both as an actor in the “Fast” films as well as a philanthropist via his
Reach Out Worldwide charity. "We're proud to help continue Paul Walker's
legacy by offering his esteemed collection to their new caretakers at our
flagship Scottsdale event," says Jackson. From the selection of cars,
there are no less than seven models of BMW, three Chevys, two Fords and
Nissans, and even a Harley-Davidson motorcycle in the mix. Here is the complete
