Icom discontinues the IC-V85 (in 2009), IC-V8 (in 2011) and IC-V82

Lots of non-authorized dealers are selling FAKE Icom Radios lately. Many in SOCSARGEN region including Local Government Units are buying the genuine ones. Some could be promoting the FAKE products too?

It has been long since Icom has DISCONTINUED the IC-V85 (in 2009), IC-V8 (in 2011), and IC-V82 (in 2014).  Any IC-V8, IC-V82, or IC-V85 not purchased from an authorized Icom dealer are highly likely to be FAKE. Radios using model IC-V8 marked “Made in China” or made in another country are 100% FAKE. Also, please be cautious of FAKE Icom batteries sold by UNAUTHORIZED dealers.
