A Luxurious Getaway in the Heart of Bintan Island
It’s no surprise that Indonesia is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world; they have the best white sand beaches, long stretch of shorelines and luxurious resorts. If you’re looking for a truly unforgettable and exotic vacation in Indonesia, consider a visit to Bintan Island. Bintan Island is found in the Riau Islands province, and is surrounded by gorgeous azure waters and exotic marine life. There are numerous resorts around Bintan Island, and if you love water sports, scuba diving, surfing or golfing, you should not miss a visit to Bintan Lagoon Resort. The resort is owned by Singaporean Corporations with some of their Villas sold to foreigners at around S$900,000. You can enjoy staying a night at this beautiful resort for less than S$100 per person.
You can escape the hustle and bustle life of Singapore by going to Bintan Lagoon Resort in Bintan Island, the perfect place for staycation and relaxation. Bintan Lagoon has its own ferry service (Mosaic Ferry Lines) to pick you up from Tana Merah Singapore right to the doorstep of the resort. This will only cost S$55 for a roundtrip fare. The resort hotel has its own immigration too so you don’t need to worry about taking much time just to be there. Right after passing the immigration and security check, the hotel’s 470 rooms will welcome you. During other months of the year, when the sea condition is not good, they would shut down their ferry service for guests to take the larger and public ferry. Upon arriving at Bintan Island Terminal, staff of Bintan Lagoon Resort will pick you up using their colorful shuttle.

Once you step foot off the ferry, you will be greeted by the sight of beautiful sandy beaches, lush coconut trees slightly swaying in the wind, and a luxurious resort just waiting to be explored. Bintan Lagoon Resort is located at Pasir Panjang Beach and is surrounded by the beautiful waters of the South China Sea. The resort offers a wide range of activities for its guests including golfing, snorkeling, boating, surfing, ATV. There are over 470 deluxe rooms at the resort, and they are all equipped with all the comforts and amenities that you could want, such as king-sized beds, air-conditioning, cable television, and full-sized bathrooms with tubs. There is even a balcony where you can enjoy the sunset while sipping on your favorite cocktails.
The moment I saw Bintan Lagoon Resort, I was floored. The resort was gorgeous, and the pictures on the website really gave justice to how nice it really was! I only had 2 days and 1 night to spend there, so I had to make the most of my time. After getting settled in, I immediately went to the beach, swam, surfed and like a kid fighting and playing with the waves.
The food in Bintan Lagoon Resort was definitely a surprise. I never really like any Indonesian cuisine until I tasted what they had in the buffet table. Everything was so good, from vegetables cooked in coconut milk to the marinated chicken fried the Indonesian way to the sweet and sour fish fresh from the waters of Indonesia cooked with the right balance of sourness and sweetness. Me and my friends definitely had one of the best dinners in our lives. Right after that, we had some beer by the beach and just enjoying the steady night and the cold winds.
The next morning after a morning swim and watching the beautiful sunrise , we toured the rest of the resort. There I realized that was still a lot more that place has to offer. Golf carting, slides in another pool, billiards, gym, karaoke, basketball and tennis court and authentic Indonesian spas were of the amenities and services that I have not fully explored and experience. That’s when we started feeling down. How we wish there was more time for us to experience everything else Bintan Lagoon Resort has to offer. I just hope that some of the photos I have here will give justice.
