AIR ASIA Partners with Manny Pacquiao ; Opens Manila-Gensan route

AIR ASIA officially partners with People's Champ, Congressman Manny Pacquiao as they become Team Pacman's official airline. The announcement was made in General Santos City during the unveiling of Air Asia's exclusive aircraft featuring livery design of the boxing sensation's face. 

AIR ASIA group CEO Tony Fernandez and Philippines CEO Joy Cañeba went all the way to Gensan to show Pacman the plane he will use going to Macau as he defends his WBO Welterweight title against American Chris Algieri at the Cotai Arena in Venetian Hotel. 

CEO Tony Fernandes said that it's a great honor for AirAsia to be chosen as the official airline of Manny Pacquiao's team. He added during the presscon that the boxing champ's story is an inspiration to all of those who dared to dream the seemingly impossible. Fernadez also mentioned that AirAsia’s commitment in the Philippines is anchored on the same dream to make flying more affordable, accessible and to provide the best quality service that every Filipino deserves.

Congressman Pacquiao is delighted to be part of AirAsia’s mission in promoting the Philippines, the Filipino talents, sports and tourism wonders to the global arena.
