Wireless Link Technologies, Inc., newly authorized GeoVision Philippine distributor, together with Daniel Chung (Sales Manager) and Po Chen (Technical Support) of GeoVision Taiwan hosted a product training last May 8, 2014 at Sapphire B Crowne Plaza, Manila Galleria. The attendees of the training included the dealers as well as the sales and technical team of Wireless Link Technologies, Inc.
GeoVision is a professional security company focusing on the research and development of video surveillance products and video content analysis. GeoVision is a leader in the sector of PC-based video surveillance and its video surveillance products successfully bridge the analog and digital worlds.
The training went around the new and existing products of GeoVision, its features, and the selling point of the products. They featured the Aurora Series which includes the “Vandal Proof Dome” and the “Arctic Box”. Inspired by the aurora borealis, which are only captured in photographs and videos under extremely low light environment, GeoVision named its line of super low-lux IP cameras. The Aurora Series sets new standards for night time surveillance. These cameras with super low-lux feature enable to see clear image even in a very low light condition. They also introduced the Target Series. These light‐weighted cameras designed for indoor/outdoor usage. Equipped with “IR‐cut filter” and built‐in “IR LEDs”, the camera is an entry-level surveillance solution with all the essential features and excellent image quality but in a very competitive price.
Also discussed are some related softwares such as myGVcloud (online service for accessing and managing cameras), GV-Linux Standalone NVR (a device for live view and playback purpose), GV-Monitoring Station (central monitoring solution for high-profile security areas in commercial, industrial and residential use markets), GV-Edge Recording Server (video streaming server designed for large-scale video surveillance deployments) and GV-Access (mobile application which can remotely access and view door / elevator / LPR status).
GeoVision has over 20 types of video analytics and some of these are also discussed in the training. The video stabilization (for shaky video), privacy mask (hides a certain portion of the picture; this is commonly used in ATM machines), face detection, (automatically identifying or verifying a person from video frame) and intrusion alarm (monitors network or system activities for malicious activities or policy violations) are among these video analytics.
