Bone and Barrel Bistro

Restaurateur Raymund Magdaluyo opened a new dining place Bone and Barrel Bistro (BBB) in Eastwood Libis last October 2013.  The restaurant is inspired by his travels abroad and his passion for giving customers a new dining experience.

Bone and Barrel  Bistro (BBB) is a sister restaurant of  Blackbeard's Seafood Island  (BSI), the group that brought you  the  original  Boodle Feasts and the latest addition to its mother company,  the Red Crab Group of Companies.

Bone and Barrel Bistro's cowboy inspired dishes will surely titillate your taste buds with its aroma of flavors and guilty pleasures known as Steak and Shank Redemption.

BBB's core products are tapas,  steaks and  bulalos  co-created by Celebrity Chef Peter Ayson and Chef Neil Manuel.   Best sellers and chef's favorites include Mignon Skewers, Sirloin Tapa, Homemade Corned  Beef  Steak, Roasted Barrel, Fillet Mignon Skewers, Manolo's  Bulalo ala Pobre and  many more.

Bone and Barrel also showcases deliciously refreshing drinks such as shakes,  cocktails, flavored beers and hard drink mixes . BBB features  a selection  of  10 house-flavored beers. I tried their Salted  Caramel Beer and it was really good. They also have the Elder Flower (Gumamela) Beer and Wild  Berry Beer.  They also offer a selection of mixed drinks specialized  for the ladies like Hennessy Citrus.

BBB's modern cowboy interior makes it more inviting and relaxing.  It has dark wood interiors with a house music and a twist of country music.

A few weeks ago, we celebrated there the birthday party of Award Winning Actor and Host Luis Manzano with some of his online friends. They all agreed that it was the best place to hang out and unwind other than the delicious food they served.

You guys should go there and experience nothing but a good time like no other at Bone and   Barrel Bistro!

The video stabilization (for shaky video), privacy mask (hides a certain portion of the picture; this is commonly used in ATM machines), face detection, (automatically identifying or verifying a person from video frame) and intrusion alarm (monitors network or system activities for malicious activities or policy violations) are among these video analytics.

Gerald Anderson

Gerald Anderson loves the new Tang Sweet Orange

Gerald Anderson is proud to introduce Tang Sweet Orange to Mindanaoans. "This new powdered juice flavor from Tang is ‘timplang ato,’ using a special blend na ‘mas tamis ug mas lami’ created especially for Mindanao.”

While Anderson spent a few years growing up in the United States, he moved back with his family to the Philippines when he was 14 years old and considers General Santos City home.

Anderson has fond memories of growing up in Mindanao. "I had many fun summer adventures here: playing basketball with my barkada, jumping on my trampoline and riding my motorcycle."

Now a successful and accomplished actor, he built a home for his mother Evangeline Anderson in GenSan, where she is managing a farm that Gerald visits as often as he can.

"When we get together, we're happy just spending time and, of course, eating," said Anderson with a laugh. "We enjoy home-cooked meals and drinking Tang. With the launch of this new “Sweet Orange” variant that suits my Mindanao taste, mealtimes are even more enjoyable!”

"I think I like the new Tang flavor because it’s just right for the taste I grew accustomed to," he said. “If yung mga Bicolano mahilig sa spicy, kami medyo may sweet tooth. Gusto namin matamis! Tulad ng Durian, mangosteen tapos yung mga pasalubong like pastel at yema.”

Anderson is in good company since Tang Sweet Orange is preferred by 7 out of 10 Mindanao moms and kids. A study conducted by Mondelez Philippines (formerly Kraft Foods), reveals that the new flavor is preferred by moms and kids for its taste, sweetness, and appearance.

"Growing up in Mindanao, you can't help but develop a strong sense of pride for this region," said Anderson. "Tang is celebrating this pride by creating the Tang Sweet Orange flavor for Mindanaoans."

To come up with this new special flavor, a team of Tang food scientists were flown in to Mindanao to conduct on the spot recipe testing and shared them with locals to get their immediate feedback and gauge liking to best capture the taste that Mindanaoans love!

Tang Sweet Orange is made from world-class ingredients. It’s Halal-certified and available in 25 gram sachets for only P8.95 at supermarkets and sari-sari stores in Mindanao. Like Tang on Facebook (TangPhilippines).

Johnoy Danao

Johnoy Danao sells heartbreaking music

Dubbed as the must-have OPM album of the year, Johnoy Danao’s first mainstream album Samu’t-Sari boasts of songs that tackle love in its different faces. This is Johnoy’s first album under a major record label, and he chose Universal Records to take care of his songs.

“Releasing an album independently was a great experience for me,” admits Johnoy. “But, I realized that working with a label, gives me a chance to reach a wider audience. Limited din kasi talaga pag ikaw lang mag-isa. Kahit anong sipag mo, may hangganan sa maaabot na tenga.”

Johnoy, who has established his own strong following in his years as an independent artist, is proud to be in the Universal Records’ roster of artists, which includes OPM President Ogie Alcasid and Noel Cabangon.

“I had a very pleasant experience working with Universal Records’ resident producer Ito Rapadas when we we were working on last year’s PhilPop album,” says Johnoy when asked why he chose Universal Records to be his first mainstream label. “Plus, I really respect the artists in the roster. They are the people I look up to. I am in good company.”

When asked what the buyers of his album should expect from the album, he quips, “Samu’t-Sari is my way of introducing my music to a wider audience.  It is never about me, my face, the visuals. It is all about the music, the voice.”

When asked why, of all OPM songs, he chose Beer and Sundo to be included in the album, he replies, “Ang ganda ng mga kantang ‘to. Ito yung mga kanta na alam mong pinag-isipan. Ito yung kanta na minsan iniisip ko na, ‘sana ako nagsulat nito.’”

Johnoy describes the entire album as easy listening, perfect for sentimental moments or road trips. He considers Buntong-hininga and Bakuran two of his favorite cuts from the album.

“Buntong-hininga kasi magaan, maaliwalas, at napapanahon sa init ngayon,” describes Johnoy. “Bakuran (his collaboration with Aiza Seguerra) naman at sumasalamin sa kung paano tayo lahat nagmamahal.”

Johnoy is also happy that his version of the 2013 PhilPop entry Kung Di Man is included in the album. The song, which was interpreted by Ney Dimaculangan in the festival, was 1st runner-up in last year’s PhilPop.

Ikaw At Ako, perhaps the most notable Johnoy Danao song, is also included in the album. The said song was used as theme in one of the episodes of Maalaala Mo Kaya.

Johnoy expressed pride over his Samu’t-Sari album because he added different elements in every song in the album.  He cites, “we used Tuba in Salubong, Bassoon for Malayang Bilanggo… All songs have
