I don’t wanna end the year 2012 without making even a short entry about the most generous and the nicest celebrity Philippine Showbiz has ever had. No other than, his Royalty, the Bergy King himself, Luis Manzano.

I’m sure many of you know that He is my most loved celebrity. Not because he became my Santa Claus and gave me a Red Swatch & Traffic Shoes this Christmas but simply because he has shown love and appreciation to many; From his work mates to co-celebrities, to his employees and to his friends, fans and supporters.

His generosity led him to more blessings and work. This January 2013, he is going to be the busiest celebrity of any network. Adding to his current shows; ‘Kapamilya Deal or No Deal’, ‘Sarah G. Live’, ‘ASAP’ & ‘MYX’, He will be joining the morning Hit Teleserye ‘Becareful With My Heart’, He will be hosting again the 4^th season of ‘Pilipinas Got Talent’ with Billy Crawford and finally He is set to host a new game show Philippine version of NBC’s ‘Minute To Win It'. That’s a total of 7 shows. 3 of which are for Daily Airing and the other 4 for weekend viewing. So just imagine how is he gonna manage his schedules and personal time then. He might go on leave for some of his shows. For which, I leave that up to him to announce.

His last movie with Star Cinema October of this year , ‘This Guy's in Love with U Mare’ according to BOXOFFICEMOJO earned a whopping P249,391,069 in gross sales making it the 2^nd highest earning movie of 2012.

Bryan Termulo

It was a reloaded November 22 for me visiting many celebrities as I can. First stop was Bryan Termulo. I had been arranging for this interview for quite sometime already. Luckily, we were both in ABS-CBN grounds so I decided to drop by his dressing room while he was preparing for his KrisTv guesting. The interview went fine. It’s just like conversation caught on cam. It was long yet smooth and just had minor editing.I actually enjoyed every moment of it.

Other than being in school everyday, Bryan is busy doing weekend Robinsons Mallshows promoting his album with BWB Records distributed by Star Records titled ‘Hanggang Ngayon’. As of press time, He is in plane via Philippine Airlines on his way to Koronadal City for a New Years Countdown celebration. His first New Year away from from home. He is also recording different songs for new Teleseryes of ABS-CBN. Recently his version of ‘Kailan’ came out on #InaKapatidAnak.

Edward Mendez

While I was at the 'Star Magic Gives Back' concert in McKinley, I received a Go Signal from Edward Mendez than I can visit him on the set of his newest movie with Star Cinema's MMFF entry 'One More Try' somewhere in QC. So when I got that chance at around 10 pm, half way through the concert, I immediately went to see him. This sit down interview has been long overdue since the many times I attempted just didn't work. It was either our schedules won’t meet or location was just so far. 

I arrived on the set while he was shooting his last scene with lead stars Angel Locsin and Dingdong Dantes. Right after he finished, we started the interview at their standby area.

The first time I met Edward was when he was taping ABS-CBN's Precious Hearts Romances; 'Hiyas' last May 21, 2011. For almost 2 years now I never lost contact with him thru twitter. He is very kind, accommodating & cool. I discovered more of him after the interview. Something inspiring, Something lovable. He is not just any sexy Model turned actor out there. He maybe a geek but not off and doesn't look like one!. He can talk about Science, Physics & Discoveries all day long. He is Smart and likes intelligent conversation. He graduated with a degree in "Sports Science and Medicine" from the University of Maryland. Plus he is a Wellness Consultant, Fitness Director, Business Man and now an Author.

This is the 2nd article I'm writing about him as he launches his book titled 'Your Dream Body Come True'. The book is all about Diet Principles & Effective Training that will not just change people physically but also emotionally & mentally. It's like a portable nutritionist and trainer that will give you Your Dream Body and will give you a different perception of health and fitness. The book will also give you total control over your diet and training intensities. Having those said, I can't wait to get my hands on that book.

Kimpoy Feliciano

I’m actually very fortunate that I was given the chance to have a one-on-one closed door interview with this Youtube Sensation and Online Heartthrob Kimpoy Feliciano. This post is kinda late for his 20^th Birthday last Dec. 18 but I’m sure you would all agree with me that this is gonna be an on-time Christmas Gift for his followers and to you my readers.

Kimpoy now managed by Orion Entertainment travelled from New Zealand to Manila to sign a recording contract with Universal Records. His debut album includes his renditions of ‘Ikaw Lang’, ‘Ngiti’, ‘Right Next To Me’, ‘I’ll be Your Hero’, ‘Una at Huling Mamahalin’ and ‘Alipin’. This is also the first album in the history of Philippine Music that has an outright Music Videos of All Tracks prior to every single being launched.

I arrived at the Universal Towers  just on time for his 1st-ever Media Conference. I’m not following Kimpoy before on twitter but many months back I downloaded his ‘known pick-up lines video’ online and saved them in my PC. So I wasn’t sure If I went there as a fan or as a writer covering the event.

I was just quiet and smiling sitting at the back of the boardroom listening to him singing a few lines of his 1^st single ‘Ikaw Lang’ (which topped www.mymusicstore.com.ph charts for 2 weeks). And Yes! he got my attention! He was mysteriously charming and better looking in person than in photos & videos. I tried holding my excitement of not asking him questions since I know I’ll have the chance later after everyone else was done. 

Kimpoy’s album was launched at the SM Manila Entertainment Center last November 30, 2012! His 1^st ever mallshow was so successful with supporters wearing SuperMan insipired top. Wish I was there to witness that overwhelming moment for him and his management. His self-directed Music Video also landed the Myx Daily top 10 for 3 weeks (Shot in New Zealand).

Kimpoy is the most followed personality in New Zealand. He is also one of the most influential Filipinos on twitter for having almost half million followers. Not just that, He is also a certified TrendSetter making anything a trending topic online just like his first cover on Pinoy Song Magazine September Issue. He will also comeback on the said magazine’s 9^th year Anniversary next month. Adding to all of these, Kimpoy also bagged the 2012 Globe Tatt Awards ‘Thought Mover Award’, the Best Viral Video Award by Meg Magazine and Youtube Leader in the 4^th Annual Shorty Awards besting other local and international celebrities.

Wow! This is what you call a reloaded entry! And I’m not even done yet! Hahaha!

Kimpoy who is a currently a 2^nd Year Business Management Student in University of Otago serves as an example to people in the Social Media after being named as one of the National Peace Ambassadors for the ‘ I Am For Peace’ campaign.  He doesn’t answer back to Haters and Bashers. In a way he treats the Negatrons’ (Negative Patrons) observation and feedback as a healthy criticism that will make him better.

Just based on that little time I had with him, I can say he must have been raised well by his parents. He is nice, polite, grounded & just enjoying what life has to offer here in the Philippines. He has til February of 2013 to decide if he will stay here and continue his promising career. Let’s all leave that then to his passion, talent, management & supporters.

PolyEast Records

I'd like to think I am fallin for Zia Quizon after having continuous LSS of her songs for quite sometime already. So imagine my frustration of not seeing her performance during the 25th Awit Awards despite the two invitations I got from PolyEast Records and Bands Magazine to cover the event.

Awit Awards is a prestigious award-giving body, spearheaded by PARI (The Philippine Association of the Record Industry, Inc.)

Zia swept the major Awards that night together with other PolyEast Records Artists Bamboo Manalac and Rock Band Slapshock at the Glorietta 1 at Ayala Center in Makati on November 27, 2012. She took home her first Awit Awards trophies for Best Female Recording and Best Recording by a New Female Artist. Her first single “Ako Na Lang” won the Song of the Year and Best Engineered Recording for her song 'Simple Girl'.

Both songs are from Zia's self-titled album under PolyEast Records which reached Gold Record status March of this year. Right now, she is busy promoting her latest single “So Much In Love” (which is one of my favorites). Her sophomore album will come out this 2013. Let us all watch out for that.

Also, Music Icon and PolyEast Records’ pride Bamboo Manalac  graced the Awards Night with a closing number with his latest single “In this Life”. He took home the Best Performance by a Male Recording Artist award for his song “Questions.” Bamboo's released his solo album called “No Water, No Moon” November of last year .

The Best Album Package was given to PolyEast’s rap-metal band Slapshock together with Team Manila for the album “Kinse Kalibre”.  Slapshock marked the success of their latest release in 15 years with Kinse Kalibre which officially reached its Gold Record.

Dolphy & Gary Granada were also both honored that night with the 'Dangal ng Musikang Pilipino Award' with the released of their albums under PolyEast Records still “Handog Ni Pidol: A Lifetime of Music and Laughter” and “The Essential Gary Granada Collection” respectively.

I am very proud of PolyEast Records not just because I am their Online Ambassador, Hahaha!

but because they are indeed an instrument bringing good music to Filipinos all over the world by simply giving opportunities to Philippine Singers & Musicians to be heard.
