AJ Perez

It was midnight of April 17, 2011 when I got the news that Aj Perez (Antonello Joseph Sarte Perez) died due to car accident in Tarlac Pampanga.

We were all in shock (exchanging BBMs with Jessy Mendiola his co-lead-star on 'Sabel', Arron Villaflor and Robi Domingo his co-gigger boys) verifying if the information was true. Coz just few hours before that, we were talking about him and his role on 'Sabel' at the get together of Jessians (official fans club of Jessy).

When his passing was confirmed, we all ended the night with sadness and prayers.

Aj had a show in Dagupan that night. On their way home was when the unfortunate event happened; riding in an ABS-CBN service van with his father Tito Gerry, his RM Nina Ferrer, ABSCBN Marshall and 2 others. Autopsy showed that his broken ribs pierced his heart and lungs thus causing his death. I paid my last respect at his wake in Christ the King Parish in Green Meadows on April 20, 2011 before flying to Gensan the next day.

I'm not close with Aj but I'm blessed that I was able to meet and experience his wonderful being. He was an Angel on Earth. One of the nicest and quiet celebrities. I met him many times when I was supporting the shows where he was in; ABSCBN's Boystown & Sabel, Star Cinema's Cinco and ASAP as a member of Gigger Boys.

Aj was a Star Magic Artist Batch 13 who was discovered on a Milo Commercial in 2006. He had a total of 22 TV Shows/Appearances and 10 Films. His last TV appearance was on 'Maalala Mo Kaya's episode Tsinelas that gave him a Golden Screen Nomination as an Outstanding Performance by an Actor in a Single Drama. That episode trended on twitter and got a very high rating nationwide with 34.3%.

August of 2011, the Eye Bank Foundation of the Philippines honored Aj Perez as the foundation's poster boy for having donated his corneas.

Aj just recently finished Highschool then at La Salle Greenhills on March 20, 2011, a month before his passing.

Aj Perez, You were a star that brightened many.
I know you are in heaven now and God is embracing you.
Thank You for the memories!.
Will forever miss you!
